Ubisoft is giving its older classics a fresh coat of polish, and the latest to benefit is Far Cry 4. The publisher just rolled out update 1.08, bringing full 60 frames per second support to the game when played on PlayStation 5.

Though Far Cry 4 originally launched back in 2014, it’s great to see Ubisoft continuing to support its legacy titles on modern hardware. The smoother frame rate is a welcome upgrade for players looking to revisit Kyrat with enhanced performance.
This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has gone back to tune up older games for today’s consoles. Other titles that have received 60FPS updates include:
- Far Cry 5
- Far Cry: New Dawn
- The Crew 2
- Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
- Assassin’s Creed: Origins
- Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
If you’re a longtime fan or a new player jumping into the Far Cry universe, now’s a perfect time to experience Far Cry 4 in its smoothest form yet.
