1. Road to Vostok
Set in a post-apocalyptic border zone between Finland and Russia, this hardcore single-player survival FPS challenges players to survive, loot, and plan their way across the Border Zone to enter the mysterious Vostok. It’s currently in development and generating strong interest from fans of tactical survival games.
2. Subnautica 2
The sequel to the beloved underwater survival game, Subnautica 2 lets players explore alien oceans once again. Expect new biomes, deeper crafting, improved base building, and co-op multiplayer elements. It’s slated for early access in 2025.
3. Dune: Awakening
Based on Frank Herbert’s legendary universe, this massive multiplayer survival game drops you on Arrakis. You’ll have to survive brutal sandstorms, craft gear, build shelters, and engage in PvP and PvE. It’s set for release on June 10, 2025, with early access starting June 5 for deluxe edition players.
4. RuneScape: Dragonwilds
This brand-new standalone co-op survival game from the RuneScape universe features up to four-player exploration, dragon hunting, crafting, and base building. It launched in early access in April 2025 and will be evolving with community feedback through early 2026.
5. Renown
Renown is a fast-paced medieval multiplayer survival game where players gather resources, build castles, and fight for territory using skill-based melee combat. It’s already in early access and focused on delivering large-scale battles with sandbox survival mechanics.
6. Outward 2
The sequel to the cult-favorite survival RPG brings more depth to exploration and survival. Expect a richer world, tougher enemies, better co-op systems, and expanded base mechanics. The release date hasn’t been confirmed but it’s expected sometime in 2025 or 2026.
7. Under a Rock
This whimsical yet dangerous survival crafting game lets 1–10 players explore a procedurally generated island filled with oversized wildlife, Neanderthals, and secrets. Build bases, survive nature, and uncover the island’s mysteries in a beautiful open world.
8. Rooted
Set in the year 2100, after a global bacteriological disaster, Rooted places players in a post-apocalyptic environment where they must scavenge, build, craft, and fight to survive. Solo and co-op play are supported, and it’s expected to launch on January 17, 2025.
9. Breathedge 2
The sequel to the quirky space survival hit takes its satire and retro-futuristic chaos to the next level. You’ll explore intergalactic zones, craft high-tech gear, and survive hilarious threats in deep space. No solid release date yet, but it’s definitely on the radar.
10. Pioner
A gritty first-person MMO with both PvE and PvP survival elements, Pioner is set in a post-Soviet, post-apocalyptic world. Players must scavenge, build, fight off mutants, and navigate dangerous zones while uncovering the game’s eerie lore. It’s expected in 2025.
