PlayStation Unveils Limited Edition DualSense Controller Honoring The Last of Us Franchise
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a special edition DualSense wireless controller dedicated to The Last of Us series. Designed in collaboration with Naughty Dog’s creative team, this collector’s item showcases glossy trophy icons that celebrate key characters, events, and themes from The Last of Us Part I and Part II.
Neil Druckmann, Studio Head and Creative Lead at Naughty Dog, along with Graphic Designer Megan Mehran, shared insights on the design:
“We’re incredibly excited to honor The Last of Us with a controller that both fans and our team can cherish. Our goal was to ensure both games were represented through the intricately printed trophy icons. Among them, three symbols stand out— the Firefly emblem from Part I, as well as the moth and wolf, which embody the deep connections and contrasts between Ellie and Abby in Part II.”
The DualSense Wireless Controller: The Last of Us Limited Edition will be priced at €84.99 and available for pre-order starting March 14, 2025, at 10:00 CET through direct.playstation.com and select retailers. The official release date is set for April 10, 2025.
Additionally, PC players will soon get to experience The Last of Us Part II Remastered when it launches on April 3, 2025, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Fans can also look forward to the much-anticipated second season of The Last of Us TV series, premiering on HBO and streaming on Max on April 13, 2025.
