TikTok has introduced a "Read Status" feature that allows users to turn off read receipts in direct messages. Here's how you can disable it:
How to Turn Off Read Status on TikTok
Open TikTok and go to your Profile.
Tap the three-line menu (☰) in the top-right corner.
Select Settings and Privacy.
Go to Privacy > Direct Messages.
Find Read Status and toggle it OFF.
Once disabled, others won’t see when you’ve read their messages, and you also won’t see theirs.
