Remember Pokémon Diamond version and Pokémon Pearl version , the first main series games released for the Nintendo DS in 2006 ? Well, the two titles that kicked off the fourth generation of Pokémon games are back in action with a remake that honors video games from 15 years ago. A dream come true for fans, who should see the new titles arrive in time for next Christmas .
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the birth of the Pokémon franchise , the pocket monsters by Game Freak are about to return to the setting that welcomed the debut of the fourth generation of Pokémon: the Sinnoh region , in particular in the "historic" town of Dueleafoglie . The Nintendo Switch hybrid console will benefit from the titles .
Let's check out all the previews regarding the remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
What we know about the remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl
A few days ago, the first presentation trailer was released that reveals the new names of the titles: Brilliant Diamond and Sparkling Pearl . The announcement video also shows the fights, which remain very similar to the previous game versions. Encounters with wild Pokémon will also be random.
From an aesthetic point of view, the first thing that catches the eye is the anime-style chibi graphics , which may not thrill everyone. The settings and landscapes remain faithful , easily recognizable for fans of the original games. Everything seems as the players left it in 2007, only improved : we find the Sinnoh region, the main characters, the starters and all the symbolic places of the game. Ultimately, Pokémon Shining Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are nothing more than a faithful reinterpretation of the original games , with just a few graphics readjustments.
Although Nintendo has played it safe, the two remakes remain two titles to try : both for fans of the time, and for the new generation, who can thus approach the games that have made the history of videogames.
